

Born in Greeley, Colorado on October 3, 1942, Dean was an only child. Growing up, he was very close with his father, Dean Sr., and his grandparents. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict, and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and an Overseas Service Medal. Dean worked for the Carbon County School District in Rawlins, Wyoming for more than 24 years, retiring as head custodian.
He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, and a good friend. He will be dearly missed.
Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Patricia Addington; his children Kyle Addington (Kelly), and Holly Miranda (Mark); step-children Heath Peden (James Kilbrew), Julie Nichols (Lee), and Jimmy Peden; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; as well as by his step-sister Lindsay Buatte.
A Graveside Service will be held For Dean at 1pm on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins, Colorado. Military Honors will be rendered in recognition of his service. Please join his family for a gathering to follow at the home of Heath Peden.
