Born in Denver, Colorado on February 15, 1961, Diane was the daughter of Marco and Ida Robles. She grew up in Denver with six siblings, attending Denver Public Schools. Following high school, she studied commercial art at Metro State College.
Diane was blessed with three beautiful children, Julie, Carmelita, and Marco, all of whom she loved very much. She was proud to see them grow and have families of their own.
In 2001, Diane moved from the Denver metro area to Loveland to join Gary Severson, who had previously moved back. Together, they enjoyed a quiet life and the company of their two cats. Diane found peace in solitude. She spent many hours sketching, drawing, painting and doing various arts and crafts projects in numerous media. She was accomplished at sewing and needlework. She liked cooking and baking and listening to many different types of music. She enjoyed bicycling everyday when she could, even in inclimate weather. She will be dearly missed.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Gary; her daughter Julie, and son Marco; grandchildren Richie, Jacob, Nevaeh, and Lakota; great-grandchildren Anthony, Anyas, Josiah, and Annaliyah; sisters Catherine and Darlene; and by her brother, Marco. She is preceded in death by her sister Geraldine, and brothers Danny and David; by her parents; and by her daughter, Carmelita, who passed away in January of 2019.
Diane will be placed to rest in a private committal service at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins. Kind memories of Diane and words of condolence for her family are welcome at resthavencolorado.com.
