

Elizabeth “Betty” Vincent of Loveland, 80, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 in Loveland. Betty was born November 13, 1935 in Pittsburg, PA. She was the daughter of a Presbyterian minister. She and her two brothers and sister grew up in East Liverpool, OH; Etna, PA; Kenmore, NY; Tallahassee, FL; and Coulterville, IL.
Betty attended Sterling College in Kansas where she met her husband, James, to whom she had been married 56 years. They had two children, a daughter and son and two grandchildren, also a girl and boy. James was a Presbyterian minister and became an Army chaplain. They also lived many places including various town in Kansas, Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas.
Betty always loved music. She played the piano and violin and she sang in the choir of many churches. She was a teacher and taught English and ESL from elementary through college level. From 1995 – 2000 James and Betty taught English in Korea. She was a member of the VFW auxiliary and was very active in the Faith Evangelical Church.
James and Betty retired to Loveland (James’ hometown) in 2000.
Betty is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Elizabeth A. Owen of Natick, MA; son, James Vincent, Jr. of Loveland, CO; brother, Robert Lenk of Norman, OK; sister, Edith Hughes of Cummings, GA; and two grandchildren, Janine and Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Edith Lenk and brother, Frederick.
A visitation will be held 1:30 pm, Wednesday, followed by a 2:30 pm Funeral Service at Faith Evangelical Church, Loveland. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens followed by a reception at Resthaven Reception Center.
