George H. Scott

George H. Scott, 83, of Wellington, Colorado passed away at his home on March 3, 2021. George was born on July 12, 1937 in Des Moines, IA to Floyd and Florence (Henry) Scott. He married Joanne Stanevich in March 1958, and in 1975, they moved their family from Illinois to Colorado. George was a very skilled carpenter, and was a Superintendent for Sunset Homes for many years. He then worked independently remodeling, finishing and upgrading homes for the remainder of his career. George also loved the mountains and riding horses. Most of all he loved his family.

George is survived by his wife, Joanne; four sons, Glen Scott, Keith Scott, Steve Scott, and Bill (Julie) Scott; one daughter, Cheryl (Matt) Martinez; one brother, David (Rose) Scott of Illinois; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Randall Scott and his sister Mary Jo (Scott) Padovano.
