

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of Grace May Fischer, 86, a former long-time resident of Fort Collins. She left her earthly tent on Thursday, January 25, 2008 at Sierra Vista Healthcare Center in Loveland where she had received tender care over the past two years.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 South Highway 287, Fort Collins. Pastor Forest Saylor will officiate. Interment Resthaven Memory GardensFriends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins.Mrs. Fischer was born May 4, 1921 to Henry R. and Edna Franke in Chicago. On August 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to Eugene E. Fischer who preceded her in death in December 1990.Following retirement from her employment at CSU, she did volunteer service locally in the office at Faith Church, and along with her husband served with AIM International in Kenya, Wycliffe/SIL in Arizona, Mexican Mission Ministries in Texas and Camp Gilead in Florida.Grace is lovingly survived by her children, Jerry (Anne) Fischer of Miami, FL, John (Lynell) Fischer of Port St. Lucie. FL, Susan (Randy) Carpenter of Kuito-Bié, Angola, Glenn (Marjorie) Fischer of Loveland and Carol (Johnny) Binzel of San Pedro Sula, Honduras; six grandchildren: Dale (Donita), Tim, Michael, Melody and Melissa Binzel and Nathan (Estelle) Carpenter; three great-grandchildren: Breanna, Jonathan and Andreanna Binzel.In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Graceâ??s memory can be given to Faith Evangelical Free Church for their mission program in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525The Fischer family thanks the staff of Sierra Vista (Loveland) and The Residence at Oakridge (Fort Collins) for the compassionate care given to their beloved mother and grandmother.
