

Homer N. Klahn, 87, passed away April 15th, 2018 in Fort Collins, CO surrounded by loved ones. Homer was born on June 14th, 1930 to Herman F. and Olive V. (Birchard) Klahn in Treynor, Iowa. Homer was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army after serving nearly two years in the Korean War.
He enjoyed flower gardening, filming in the mountains, elk hunting, and gold prospecting. Homer farmed for several years in Iowa, worked in construction, and worked many other jobs throughout his life.
Homer is survived by eight children: Linda Klahn, David Klahn, Carol (Jerry) Klahn Zadina, Darrell Klahn, Sue (Michael) Cavalieri, Doug (April) Klahn, John (Sarah) Klahn, and Steve (Alma) Klahn; seventeen grandchildren; Bill, Molly, Jenny, Mindy, Jerry, Emily, Ashley, Shayla, Danny, Jon, Michael, Tiana, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, Nick, Sierra, and Agatha; numerous great-grandchildren, and one brother Fred (Peg) Klahn.
Homer was preceded in death by: both parents; wife Sharon; brothers, Howard, Henry, and Stan; sisters, Dorothy, Rose, and Lois. Visitation will be held on April 22nd at Allnutt Funeral Service in Fort Collins at 3:00pm, with Funeral Service to follow at 4:00pm. Interment will be at 12:30pm on April 23rd at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. A Celebration of life will follow internment in Lakewood.
