Inge was quite the storyteller and hopefully you were one of the lucky ones to hear her childhood stories of her life in Europe during World War II. The grand kids favorite story was about Inge’s little piglet, Ferkel, complete with sound effects.
After the war Inge and her family settled in the small village, of Grossquern, near the Danish-German border where they finally experienced peace. At 17, Inge and her family arrived in Morris, Manitoba. To help the family make ends meet she worked on a farm milking the cow and taking care of the farmers children. At 19 she married her childhood sweetheart, Theodore, which took her to Southern California where they started a family. Inge was the heart and soul of the family as Ted became a pastor and missionary. Their service took them to Arizona, California and overseas to Vienna, Austria.
The last 20+ years of her career Inge was the principal of the Acacia Baptist School in Hawthorne, California. During this time she touched the lives of hundreds of children. She loved each one of them and is remembered by so many, always good for a hug and a kind word.
Inge retired in 2004 and along with Ted moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to be near her kids and grandkids. It was her favorite thing to just be in the middle of a family gathering. She loved her church community at LifePointe Church where she continued in service in ‘Sharing the Love’ ministries by crocheting hats, scarves and baby blankets for local charities. Inge always shared her love of Jesus to friends and strangers alike. She “adopted” everybody she met and everybody called her Oma (grandma in German). She was simply loved by all.
Inge is preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Leonhardt Kupsch, and her husband Ted. She is forever loved and survived by her children and grandchildren: Rita and Jim Ramirez and son Roman; Edwin and Melissa Schramm and son Edward and daughters Miranda and Brandi; Renee and Michael Olsen and daughter Sydney. She is also survived by her siblings Lillie (Bernie), Herb (Pam), Erika (Wally) and Ken (Connie) and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 10th at 3:00 pm at LifePointe Church in Fort Collins.
Flowers or alternatively a donation to LifePointe Church ‘Sharing the Love’ ministries can be arranged through Allnutt, Drake Road Chapel.
