James A. Boren, 92, joined his wife of 52 years, JoAnn, on the great Poudre Canyon in the sky on April 11th, 2016. They are back together again on the hunt for the perfect pan-sized trout. James was born in Allen, TX and joined the CCC’s after high school, building dams in AZ until joining the Navy in 1942. He met JoAnn while in Navy Training School in Chicago, and it was love at first sight. James stayed in the Navy for 20 years serving as a Machinist 1st Class keeping planes flying during W.W. II and the Korean Wars. James and JoAnn raised 3 daughters in Northern CA. James and JoAnn moved to Fort Collins in 1984, where the family, mountains, and fishing were grand.
James is survived by his daughters Rebecca (Paul), Vicki, and Linda (J.R.), 5 grandchildren; Jim (Jeanine), Erik (Dawn), Brenda, Jessica and Melanie, and 3 great-grandchildren; Collin, Damara and Rachel.
