

James “Jim” Stoner of Loveland, Colorado, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of memories with family and friends who loved him dearly. Jim was known as a hardworking man, a loyal friend, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Jim was born in Pierre, South Dakota, to Kenneth Stoner and Elsie Schumacher. He later moved to the Loveland area in the fall of 1978, where he made his home and built a life centered around family, work, and community.
Jim proudly served his country through the United States military in the Reserves and the Air National Guard. After his service, he became a skilled tradesman and went on to own and operate Loveland Roofing. Through his work, he built not only homes and roofs, but also lasting friendships with many people in the community.
On August 12, 2000, Jim married the love of his life, Kay Schaff, in Loveland, Colorado. Jim was a strong influence and mentor to his stepsons, and he took pride in teaching them carpentry and practical skills that they carried with them throughout their lives.
Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and walleye fishing. He loved setting up hunting camps and spending time with family and friends, in the outdoors. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
Jim will be remembered as a trustworthy and dependable friend who was always willing to help others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Stoner; his stepchildren Kory Kingsley (Dawn Kingsley), and Bob Eddens; his grandchildren Kaytlynn,Tayler, Shiann,Kamron, Aubree, and Christina. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Donna Comstock, Joan Barber, and Mary Madsen.”
He was preceded in death by his Brother Wayne Stoner; and children Jeffrey Stoner and Kurt Kingsley.
Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others will be remembered by family, friends, and the community he was proud to call home.
