

Joshua Cannon Jackson (born Joshua Lee Cannon), age 27, of Aurora, Colorado, died on September 25, 2021 in Aurora. Born in Greeley, Colorado on September 27, 1993, he was the son of the late Tammy Marie Cannon Campbell and Tracy Jackson of Denver. He attended Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in 2015 from Front Range Community College in Fort Collins. Josh continued his education at CSU in Fort Collins, CCD in Denver and was a current student at Metro State University in Denver, studying to obtain a Bachelor Degree in Marketing.
Josh was an electrical apprentice employed by Electrical Corp of America. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union #68, and an inactive member of Prince Hall Mt. Evans #7 Masonic Lodge. He attended Church in the City – Beth Abraham, and was baptized there in November 2020. Josh was also an aspiring rap/hip-hop artist, and wanted to use his talents and tell his story to troubled youth. Josh suffered from PTSD.
Josh is survived by his daughter, Brielle (mother Shyanne Swain) of Littleton; his fiancé, Alyssa Lopez and their unborn son, Mateo of Denver; his father, Tracy Jackson of Denver; his maternal grandmother (and adoptive mother), Janice Johner of Loveland; his maternal grandfather, Gary Cannon (Gina and daughter, Whitney) of Scottsbluff, NE; paternal grandmother, Diane Johnson of Denver; half-brothers, Zachary Lujan (Misty and son, Isaiah) of Greeley, Dominique Jackson (and children) of Denver, and TreVahn Jackson of Tempe, AZ; step-mother, Amy Jackson of Greeley; step-siblings, Zeke Williams and Jasmine Williams; his aunt, Jennifer Burgher (Jeff and children, Savannah Johner and Naomi Burgher); his aunt, Seeketa Lindsey (Darrel and children) of Centennial; his uncle, Derek Jordan (daughter, Chelsea); and numerous other aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his adoptive grandfather, Jerry Johner; and his uncle, Jeffrey Cannon.
A memorial service for Josh will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins, CO, with a viewing just prior to the service. Josh will be cremated following his service.
