Katie (Wilm) Linkel, 90, of Fort Collins, Colorado (formerly of Kenilworth, New Jersey and Hanover, Pennsylvania), passed away July 12, 2020. She was born December 26, 1929 in Irvington, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Adalbert and Agnes (Geist) Wilm.
Katie graduated from Jonathan Dayton Regional High School where she met her husband Matthew Linkel. They were married in 1950 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Katie and Matthew were married for 66 years.
Katie was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, Fort Collins (and previously St. Joseph Parish, Hanover, Pennsylvania). Katie was Vice-President of Linkel Consulting Services in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Katie served as a Brownie Girl Scout leader and for many years as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America Cub Pack 82 in Kenilworth, New Jersey, Troop 82 in Kenilworth, and Troop 83 in Hanover, Pennsylvania. She was recording secretary for the YW Wives Club of Hanover.
Her favorite hobbies were baking, reading, and traveling.
She is survived by her son, Stephan (wife-Elsie) of New Jersey; daughter Mary of Fort Collins; three grandchildren, Corey, Galen, and Erin; and two great grandchildren Johnathan and Zhane.
A private funeral service will be held Wednesday July 15, 2020.
