Kenneth "Kenny" Valdez

At his side were his Wife of 25 years Louonna Valdez, his son Michael Valdez, his Aunt Juanita Valdez, and his cousin Bryan Valdez.

Kenny was a Colorado native through and through. Born to Mike and Delores Valdez on March 17, 1966 in Loveland, Colorado, he spent his entire life in Northern Colorado. Growing up, he looked to his Older Sister Karla Valdez for guidance and before he knew it, was passing down the same lessons to his younger brother Kevin Valdez. Known for his wit, sense of humor and charm, he was an instant catch with anyone he ever came across and when paired with two of his best friends, Frank “Papo” Gamino and Steve Lopez, Fort Collins was put on notice.

Ken met Louonna Vigil in 1996 and would be married to her in October of 1998. In February of 1999, Ken became a father to his one and only son, Michael. To say that Ken was a “family first” type of man is an understatement. Ken put his family before himself each and every day because that was who he was as a person. Ken was a loving Husband, a caring Father, and even more so than anything, a Proud Grandfather to his grandsons August and Kevin. He will forever be remembered as an avid Sports Fanatic, a Fisherman who knew no limits, a handyman for all jobs, and most importantly, a Valdez Man. He is survived by his Wife Louonna, His son Michael, His sister Karla, His Daughter-in-law Vanessa and his Grandchildren August and Kevin.

A Visitation and a Time for Goodbyes will be held for Kenny on Wednesday, June 26th from 5pm-7pm at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins. The Rosary will be Prayed at 6:30pm. Ken's Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, June 27th at 9:30am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Collins followed by his Committal Service at 11am at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Honored to carry Kenny to his final place of rest are Pallbearers Michael Valdez, Frank "Papo" Gambino, Bryan "Red Moon" Valdez, Scott Valdez, Zachary Valdez, and Jesse Olivas.
