Nancy Jane Bergquist

Nancy Jane Bergquist passed unexpectedly, yet peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday April 6, 2016 in Loveland, CO. Nancy was born in Omaha, NE to Eileen K. Giddings and Samuel W. Black on July 7, 1935. She attended St. Bernard’s Grade School and Holy Name High School. She worked at Mutual of Omaha Life Insurance where she met the love of her life, John R. Bergquist. They were married on August 9, 1957. They lived all throughout Nebraska before settling in Loveland in 1969. She celebrated her 80th Birthday last year with her family and close friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband John R. Bergquist; her children, Sharon (Paul) Akers and John D. (Carol) Bergquist; grandchildren, Robin (Chad) Reed, Brandon (Laura) Wren, John “Luke” (Alta) Bergquist, Abigail (Jeremiah) Armstead, Andrea (Adam) Akers, Benjamin Akers, Elizabeth Bergquist, and Nicole Bergquist; and great-grandchildren, Kaden and Emma Wren and Jalen and Amiah Armstead. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00a.m., Friday April 8, 2016 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Fort Collins, CO.
