Patricia (also known as Pat, Patsy, or Patty) was born Patricia Lou McClanahan on June 6, 1933 in Boonville, MO, to LaRoy and Roberta McClanahan. When she was around 4, her family moved to the Kansas City, KS area, where she grew up with many fond memories.
She received her education from Emporia State College, where she was also a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma. She graduated from Emporia State in 1955 with a degree in education.
In 1956, Patricia married Larry Lee Wall, whom she had met at Emporia State. They had two daughters and one son.
In 1972, the family of five moved to Fort Collins, CO. Pat enjoyed exploring her new state. She walked and took photographs of scenery, wildlife, and birds on the plains and in the mountains. She also spent 10 years doing the work she most loved, teaching kindergarten at Riffenburgh Elementary in Fort Collins. In 2004, Pat and Larry moved to Windsor, where they lived the rest of their lives together until Larry died in 2011. In her later years, she was a member of the Timnath Presbyterian Church Missions Committee, through which she contributed to her Timnath/Windsor community.
Patricia is survived by her three children, Marsha Talley and Laura Chubb, both in Fort Collins, and Bryce Wall in Colorado Springs; her four grandchildren, Jessie Wall, Levi Wall, Tyler Chubb, and Ian Chubb; and one great grandchild, Matteo Wall. She has one surviving brother, Robert McClanahan, 84, who lives in Oceanside, CA.
There will be a small private memorial for family. Donations can be sent to Pathways Hospice, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or Timnath Presbyterian Church Missions Committee.
