Randy was born in El Paso, Texas on March 29, 1955 to Paul Henry and Margaret Jane (Crouse) Wilson. He had two brothers and a sister. He grew up in the El Paso area and graduate from St. Mary’s High School. After high school, he joined the United States Army and proudly served his country.
Throughout his life, Randy learned many trades and worked as a framer, a business owner and finally, retired as a building inspector. He was never one to shy away from hard work or dirty hands. Though he became a Colorado man, he was a cowboy at heart and loved caring for and roping & riding his horses. Randy never knew a stranger. He was easy going, generous humored, and kind hearted. He enjoyed socializing over a cup of coffee. He was a man of faith and of spirit and was brought up a Catholic boy. Though his relationship with the church was at times a long-distance one, his relationship with Christ was not.
Randy’s greatest loves were his children. He was a proud father to his daughters, Randie and Shelby, and his son, Jade. Randy loved being a father and being close to his children. He also loved his grandchildren and they loved their grandpa. He was a good man and the world was better for having him in it.
Randy leaves behind a family that loves him and is survived by his children, Randie DeHerrera of Wellington, Colorado, Shelby Wilson of Loveland, Colorado, and Jade Wilson of Omaha, Nebraska; and by his grandchildren, Avery, Brady, Chance, and Nicola. He is also survived by his brothers, Ricky Wilson of Brush, Colorado and Rodney Wilson of Littleton, Colorado; sister, Rhondia Provine who resides in Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and by his horses.
