Regina was raised in Noel alongside her younger brother. During her senior year of high school, her family moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she graduated. In 1956, she married Norman Roberts. As a devoted military wife, Regina embraced a life of service and adaptability, raising eight children while living in various places around the world. In 1972, after Norman’s retirement from the military, the family settled permanently in Fort Collins, which remained her home for the rest of her life.
After her children were grown, Regina followed her deep love for children by operating a home daycare for nearly 40 years. Through her care, patience, and warmth, she helped raise multiple generations of children and played an especially meaningful role in the lives of her grandchildren.
Regina was also a gifted quilter, creating countless cherished quilts for family and friends. She shared her skill and passion for quilting, passing this tradition on to her daughter-in-law, Cheryl, and her granddaughter, Azlyn,—a lasting legacy of creativity and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Roberts, in 2014; her son, Rick Roberts, in 1987; her parents, Milford and Louise Hoagland; and her brother, Marvin Hoagland.
Regina is survived by her seven children: Lee Roberts, Brenda Grenard, Clayton Roberts, Douglas Roberts, Russell Roberts, Terri Hailey, and Timothy Roberts; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large extended family who will remember her for her devotion, kindness, and unwavering love.
Her life was one of service to others and deep family devotion, and she will be dearly missed.
