Love and  Miss you SANDY..........Jan & I had coffee today In your Memory @ Riverside........Wow 5 Years!!

Sandy Popped into my head just the other day when I put on a Pair of her Pink Earrings, she gave to me & I was picking out a Blouse to wear to Our Girls  Birthday Lunch & the one I picked both Sandy & I have the same one.....It made me laugh to think of her joy in her outfits, and her special SMILE!!

We are neighbors from Poudre Canyon who are out of town at the present time so did not get to the funeral, sadly. We knew Sandy as a lovely woman who shared in many canyon activities. We want her family to know that we valued her and will miss her

Heartfelt condolences to the Mullen kids and grandchildren!  

My life in Colorado has been SO MUCH richer for knowing Sandy, Steve and the Mullen family.  We met by introduction in 1995 when my husband, TJ & I moved from Wisconsin to caretake a ranch in Pingree Park.  We both instantly felt a kinship to Steve and Sandy.  

Sandy was a kind, outgoing, woman who became a wonderful, caring friend.  She knew how to make someone feel like a special guest whenever they walked through the back door and her many life stories were priceless to hear.    

I was always impressed by how much Sandy loved her family.   Each visit was a catch up of happenings with her growing camp of grandchildren.  She also cherished friendships and was a gracious host.  Sandy could decorate her home and prepare a feast better than Martha Stewart!  I’ll never forget spending Thanksgiving with the Mullen clan.  I was homesick for my Midwest family but spending it with the Mullens helped to turn that around.  So much food, so many kids, and grandkids, it was a holiday scene out of a Norman Rockwell painting, and it was SO MUCH fun.  

We have great memories of taking road trips to North Park with Sandy & Steve for lunch, shopping excursions to Steamboat, cutting a Christmas tree near Big Creek, soaking in the hot springs up at Saratoga, visiting antique shops, flea markets and garage sales in town.  I marveled that Sandy always found something to bring home.  But my absolute favorite times were just sitting around the kitchen table having a cup of coffee & visiting or sitting out on the porch enjoying her beautiful flowers at their lovely Poudre Park home.  

Not a trip down the canyon ever goes by when I look over at that Wonderful Place and think of our dear friends Sandy and Steve.  
Rest in peace, Sandra.  Until we meet up again.

It was a privilege to know Sandy. We watched parts of classic movies together, and she always guessed the villains before I did. She reminisced about life in the canyon and her good work at PVH. She had a tremendous sense of style--I loved to see her outfits week after week, and the stuffed goose she displayed outside her door to mark the changing seasons. May she rest in peace, and may her friends and families find comfort in their memories. 

Sandy was a Sweet  friend, Her Smile, Storys were always a NOT Miss, Her history of The POUDRE was informative, Love her Hostess Skills and Having us Celebrate Her Birthday @ The Worthington for a "SHRIMP Lunch "was the Best. She saved her Meal Coupons so she could host us all to Celebrate....Cunning Women.....Blessings go to her Family To Remember the Fun times...Love you all, The Feigles.. Rod & Donna Marie 

I met Sandy Mullen in 1970 when we moved into Poudre Canyon.  We became immediate and lifelong friends.  I sit here, teary eyed, thinking of my extraordinary friend and it is never Sandy alone that  I recall but  the front porch where Steve and I expounded on Conservative politics  while Sandy served up some of her Famous cooking.  I remember baseball games in the front yard on the 4th of July surrounded by Sandy's amazing young adult children, friends, in-laws and out-laws!  Oh! Such characters!!  Every single time I walked through the back door of Sandy and Steve's home, I felt like the Most Important Guest.  Sandy had the amazing knack,  as a hostess, to make everyone Special.    And,  always,  the quick walk across the highway to visit Nocky and DaddyO and the Serenity of sitting on their gazebo over the Poudre River.  I remember Sandy had the most beautiful  legs!  I was a little jealous....how could a mother of six look that good?  Visiting the Gulf of Mexico and Coral Cove was a fabulous vacation as Sandy and Steve shared their love of the new environment.   Sandy adored her family, ALWAYS.    Her great pride was to catch me up and the latest adventures of the six kids. Being included in Mullen weddings, funerals and special occasions was my priviledge.   I was Blessed to know Sandy Mullen.  Rest in Peace, my Lovely friend.

I am so thankful for the times spent  up the Canyon over holidays  and in Texas with Sandy, Steve and the wonderful Mullen family..

  The Easter I spent with all of the Mullen family and hunting for Easter eggs across the road at the grandparents house will forever 
 be  a wonderful memory.. Let me tell you you haven't celebrated a Holiday until you can say you spent time on a Holiday with this family!  It is honestly one of my favorite memories

Sandy always made everyone feel loved   welcomed and a part of their family.   Sandy was such a beautiful  lady and she loved her family 

I want to thank all of you  for sharing  my time spent time with Sandy.  I can still hear her voice just thinking  about her
