Virginia was born on November 24, 1958 to Dulcinea "Nell" Herrera and Joe Duran. She was 1 of 5 children. She grew up in Denver and Longmont. G was a people person who made friends wherever she went, and soon found an affinity for Koalas.
Virginia graduated from Longmont High School, and married her High School sweetheart Don Potter. Life happens, as it will, and she and Don divorced after 2 sons. She then married Wesley Sears and after 2 daughters they split as well.
As the years went by she finally found a life partner in Paul Danner. Together, they had a relationship for 14 years. Paul treated her children as his own and took care of G through the years, even when she was battling her personal demons and alcoholism. She loved crafting, looking up new recipes, and listening to country or blues music. She also loved to watch old western shows, and listen or watch the Rockies play.
Virginia is survived by: her Significant Other Paul Danner, two sons Jason Potter (Jen) and Matthew Potter (Natasha), as well as her two daughters Haley Sears (Bennie Castellano) and Kathrine Sears Herrera (Logan Cordova), Mother Nell Herrera, two sisters Mary Ellen Rains (Jerry) and Jonelle Duran, and two brothers Robert Duran (Donna) and Jim Duran. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Cameron Potter, Tristan Potter, Karly Moncallo, and many cousins.
