We have lost a beautiful soul while fighting the good fight and lost her battle to Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Anna San Miguel (Brandquist) was born in Brooklyn, NY to her parents James and Fran Brandquist. At the age of 5 she was given her Baby sister Helena. Shortly after that, they moved their family to California.
In her young adult life, she fell in love, and gave birth to 2 beautiful children, Katie and Casey. But before she gave birth to them, Anna gained another sibling, James Brandquist. Although her children lived in a different state, her love for them has always remained strong, always worrying and caring about them.
As with all of us in life, we, as a people, have bumps in the road....decisions we made that we regret....and struggles that we try to conquer. Anna was no different. What makes Anna so special is that she, with blood, sweat, and tears overcame these things.
As life went on, she gave birth to her songbird, Ryan. She was always proud of all of his accomplishments and stood by him anytime he struggled.
With all this being said, Anna finally met her soulmate Robert San Miguel. Robert had a son, Carlino, who she fell in love with. Carlino was very important in Anna's life and supported all of his baseball games, graduations, and even being sworn into the Navy.
In 2011, Anna and Robert became pregnant with Trebor San Miguel that was born in May of 2012. As Anna fought this cancer, Trebor became Anna's "why." The Why to keep fighting and the Why to stay alive. When Anna was diagnosed, she would recieve her chemo treatment and make sure she was there for all of his practices and games. She wasn't going to miss a moment and she has cherished the year that she has fought loving not just Robert but all of her children, family, and friends.
