Catherine Elizabeth Long

We deeply regret to announce the Passing of Catherine ( Kay ) ( Berry, Rubera ) Long of Fullerton, CA. ( Formally of Windsor, CT ). She passed peacefully into the arms of Our Lord on Wednesday, 7 August 2013 with her husband James Long III by her side at St Jude Hospital, Fullerton, CA after a long period of declining health. She was born in Hartford, on August 24, 1926, to the late Paul E. & Catherine T. Berry of West Hartford, CT. She married Paul A. Rubera in July 1948 living in Hartford until moving to Windsor in 1950. She was married to Paul Rubera for 17 years until his passing in March 1965, where she remained a resident for any years. In 1968 she married James D long III of Windsor in 1968, where the resided before moving to Southern California in 1979. She is survived by her Husband James D Long III, of Fullerton, CA. a Daughter, Susan and her Husband Richard Gates, of East Hartford, CT, a Son Paul S. Rubera, Sr and his Fiancee Patricia A. Curcio of Portland, CT.; two Grandsons Paul Rubera Jr of San Francisco CA, and Petty Officer First Class Wesley J. Rubera and Wife Dalia of Virginia Beach, VA. her Brother Paul Berry of Riverside, CA. and Sister Patricia Pellegatto of Bristol, CT.; two great grandchildren, and many Nieces, Nephews, Grand- Nieces and Nephews, and Great Grand Nieces and Nephews. She was pre deceased by her Sister Audrey Berry of West Hartford, CT. and Brother-in-Law Anthony Pellagatto of Bristol, CT. We ask that in lieu of Flowers, donations be given in her name to the charity of your choice. The Family wishes to thank all of those who knew, loved, helped and cared for my Wife and their Mother throughout her life. We thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. Catherine was truly loved by her family and Friends. There will be a Catholic Burial Mass at St Philip Benizi Church, in Fullerton, CA on WEDNESDAY August 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
