Dreama Marlene (Bailes) Davis, 78, of Yorba Linda, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family September 19, 2015, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born July 8, 1937 in Charleston, WV. She met her life-long sweetheart and husband of 58 years, John R. Davis III (J.R.), at Stonewall Jackson High School on the first day of their senior year. They married in 1957 and began their Navy life together. Dreama loved her years as a Navy wife and mother, and looked upon each move with the family as a new and exciting adventure. The family moved to Yorba Linda in 1976 after J.R.'s retirement from the Navy. Dreama loved being with her family most of all. She loved cooking, traveling and taking trips in their plane. Dreama enjoyed roller skating, bowling, volunteering and working part-time, eventually retiring from CADE in Anaheim. Dreama was a member of and loved attending First Baptist Church of Yorba Linda. Dreama was preceded in death by her younger sister Betty (Bailes) Harrison Lucas, mother, Martha L. Bowyer and father, "Smilin" Johnnie Bailes. Dreama always said that her name was made up by her father who was a country music performer and song writer. Johnnie Bailes was one of the Bailes Brothers, a country music group that appeared on the Grand Ole Opry in the 1940s. The Bailes Brothers were also charter performers on the Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dreama is survived, loved and will be greatly missed by her husband, J.R. of Yorba Linda CA; four daughters, Sharon (Davis) Heibel of West Jordan, UT; Kathy (Davis) DeLangis (husband Jon DeLangis) of Laguna Beach, CA; Pam (Davis) Studebaker of Coronado, CA; Patty (Davis) Straub of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren, Jenny Peery of Payson, UT; Tanya Peery of Phoenix, AZ; Kara (Studebaker) Vause of Wahiawa, HI; Lauren (Studebaker) Cofrancesco of Rancho Bernardo, CA; Michael Heibel of West Jordan, UT; Kelsea Straub of San Diego, CA, and seven great grandchildren.
