

George Arthur Stover, 69, of Fullerton, CA, died early Saturday, February 18, 2012, at his residence. Prior to moving to California, Arthur resided in Knox, Pittsburgh and Oil City Pennsylvania. He fulfilled his life-long wish to work until the day he died. Arthur was born on May 2, 1942, and was the son of Orris W. Bucky Stover and Joan Pfaff Stover. Arthur attended beauty schools in Erie (PA), New York City (NY) and Toronto, Canada. He worked in his trade for 51 years, happily doing the hair of movie stars, friends and family, never once saying, I wish I didnt have to go to work today. Music was a major part of Arthurs life, regularly attending and performing in musicals, plays, and concerts. He sang at numerous family weddings, including his own. Arthur was married to high school classmate Carol Cope on June 12, 1965, in Knox, Pennsylvania. He had three sons, Charles Arthur Stover, married to Delia, Philip Arthur Stover, married to Anna, and William Arthur Stover, married to Gianna, who were all an important part of his life. He especially loved spending time with his five grandchildren, Itzel, Eric Arthur Luis, Kiel Arthur, David Arthur, and Sophia Miranda. Arthur and Carol often travelled with his brother David Stover and wife Connie, enjoying good food and wildlife all over North America. Arthur loved cooking great food and entertaining friends and family whenever possible. A memorial service will be held at Arthurs church, Placentia Presbyterian, on Sunday, March 11th at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Placentia Presbyterian Church Choir, which was an important part of Arthurs spiritual life.
