Jan Richard Fishburn, 80, of Yorba Linda, CA, passed away on July 19, 2025. Jan was born February 16, 1945 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, graduated from Savanna High School in 1963 then went on to Cal State Los Angeles, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Jan was inducted into the Army in 1967, receiving the Army Commendation Medal and Purple Heart before being honorably discharged in 1968.
Jan married Catherine Christoffersen on June 14, 1982, in California. Jan and Catherine met through their shared enjoyment of bowling.
Remaining to cherish Jan’s memory are his wife, Catherine, his brother, Robert, his sister, Elaine, an extended family, and everyone whose life he touched.
Services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, Fullerton. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Jan’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Disabled American Veterans.
