John Haupt, age 76, of Yorba Linda CA passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. John Haupt was born in Odense, Denmark in 1949. He immigrated to America in 1968 to live the California dream. He began working at a young age and was able to open his own dental business by the age of 23. His passion for dentistry allowed him to share his knowledge for over 50 years in that field. He touched many lives through his compassion, presence and love for family.
He is survived by his loving wife Veena Chen-Haupt, his sons Erik and Ryan, and his sisters Rita, Sonja, Lis, and Helle.
During his final days, he showed great courage and grace. Those who were with him will remember the peace, dignity, and love that surrounded him at the end of his life.
A celebration of life will be held on April 10 at 11 am. Services will be held at the Danish Lutheran Church and Cultural Center at 16881 Bastanchury Rd, Yorba Linda. A live webcast will be available on the church's website www.danishchurchsocal.com
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made in his memory to the Danish church or cancer society, or that kindness be shown to others in the way he did.
He will be deeply missed and forever in our memories.
