Lowell Johnson, a life-long resident of Kingsburg, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the age of 90. A devoted husband and family man, educator and coach, his life was a reflection of his kind-hearted spirit and steadfast faith. He and Lois June, his wife of 63 years, shared a love of traveling. He refereed high school football for many years, served as a board member of the Kingsburg Elementary School District for over 30 years, and was a long-time board member of Kingsburg Community Church. Upon his retirement, he farmed raisins for Sun-Maid and was named Kingsburg Citizen of the Year in 2002 – a testament to how willingly he gave back to the community. He was happily married to Lois June Johnson, who preceded him in death in 2012. He is survived by four children, Linda (Jeff) Wood, Donna (Robert) Stucky, Denise (Jack) Rayfield, and Doug (Mary) Johnson; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
