

Funeral services for Marcia Malone Derrico will be held on February 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at San Antonio Catholic Church, 5800 E Santa Ana Canyon Road, Anaheim, California. A viewing will be held at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, California on February 23, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. A Rosary will follow the viewing. Marcia died peacefully on January 29, 2018 at Terrace View Care Center in Fullerton, California. Marcia was born on May 6, 1931 in Mechanicville, New York, the daughter of James and Antoinette Malone. Marcia graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1948 and her first job was at General Electric in Schenectady, New York. Marcia had a longstanding interest in fashion and always enjoyed dressing herself and her family in the latest styles. She was an accomplished seamstress who sewed many outfits for herself and her family. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting. Later in life, Marcia studied tailoring and upholstery. Marcia had a lifelong interest in healthy eating, exercise, and fitness. She enjoyed cooking and she will always be remembered as a gourmet cook. In 1975, Marcia and her family moved to Placentia, California where she lived for forty-three years. In 1984, Marcia became a realtor and was a very successful real estate agent for over thirty years at Tarbell Realtors. In addition to raising her three children and having a successful career, Marcia was an active volunteer for many local organizations and the Catholic Church. Marcia was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church. Marcia is survived by her three children, Marciana Vequist of Lawrence, Kansas, Theresa Russell (Garth) of Anaheim Hills, California, and Thomas (Kim) of Thousand Oaks, California; one sister, Josephine Luciano of Mechanicville, New York; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
