
Raymond M. Hansen, known to friends and family as “Ray,” was born on June 11, 1943, in Madrid, Spain. He passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, in Yorba Linda, California after an 18-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He grew up in Spain and spent time in Morocco. He moved to United States when he was 14 years old, and he attended St Joseph High School in Ogden, Utah. He went on to earn degrees from El Camino College and California State Long Beach in Business and Foreign Language.
Ray had a distinguished career as a stockbroker with Paine Webber and later as a financial advisor, establishing his own company, Financial Growth Management, for over 40 years.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Penny, their children Paul and Julie and their grandson, Sawyer, along with Ray’s brother Elwood. Throughout his life Ray was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Early in his life, Ray enjoyed playing basketball and was a record-breaking high jumper in high school. As an adult, Ray spent time fishing, bowling, and disco dancing. Later in life he enjoyed watching Laker games and Dodger games while always having a song on his lips.
Ray’s honesty, integrity and caring touched everyone who knew him. He cared deeply for his family and the clients he served, wanting the best for them and working hard to be sure they were well cared for.
A memorial service will be held at Yorba Linda Presbyterian Church, 19301 E. Yorba Linda Blvd. Yorba Linda, CA 92886 on November 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation in Ray’s honor.
