Robert Winston Goss

Goss, Robert Winston, 68 of Santa Ana, CA passed away on 4-19-11. He died with his wife and son by his side. Born in Seattle, WA on 12-10-42, to Winston and Muriel Goss, Bob was a great athlete and student. In 63, Robert became the 1st All-American tennis player at Claremont Mens College in singles/doubles. He received his BA in 64 from CMC. Robert then enlisted in the Navy, completed OCS, and began his tour of duty as an officer during the Vietnam War. After an Honorable discharge as a full Lieutenant, he received his MBA from UCLA and worked over 30 yrs as a stock broker. Bob died with 36 yrs of sobriety and was a proud member of AA. He was a faithful Christian that drew strength from his Higher Power , God! Robert is survived by his wife Sharon, son John, daughter Jennifer, and two grandkids, Roan and Van. Service: Sat. 4-30-11, 1:30pm, Auditorium at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Orange. Open Casket: 12:30-1:15pm prior to service. Burial: 3pm Military Honors, Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona del Mar.
