

It is with a heavy heart and unbelievable sadness to announce the passing of PFC Shane Taylor Golden – Age 23. Shane Taylor Golden was born June 18, 1998 to Blake and Anita Golden. Shane worked at the family business, Golden Glass Inc. out of high school, until he enlisted in the Marine Corps. If you asked Shane what he wanted to be when he grew up in life… His answer was simple – A Marine!
Shane enlisted in the Marine Corps and he graduated from boot camp on July 1, 2021, with honors. Shane was at camp Pendleton in San Diego and was most recently stationed at the oldest active post in the Marine Corps “8th & I” located in Washington DC. He was honored to be training as part of the Rifle Guard Platoon
Shane loved the outdoors. He loved to ride his dirt bike and his Harley. One of his passions was working on cars. He was currently working on a 1972 Datsun 240z which he installed a LT1 Corvette motor with 640 horsepower. He was also working on a 1970 Nova, which he completely restored. He also completed restoring a 1942 Harley that was used in WWII.
Shane was of strong character. His smile was infectious and he gave the best hugs. Shane could always be counted on for a good laugh and was a devoted and loyal son, brother and friend.
Shane will be missed by all. Shane is survived by his immediate family, Father Blake Golden, Mother Anita Golden, Brother Dustin Lewis, Brother Jason Lewis and Brother Rush Golden.
