Anne, we miss you and are thinking of you in a special way today. We pray for you nightly. And I know that you are up there to help Henry through his tough times and to smile on him in good times. Thank you for loving us and our little boy.

I have known Anne for more than half a century. We were young Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul when we met and worked together. Her intelligence and her love for the poor, joined with a radiant sense of humor, made Anne an ideal teacher and great Sister companion no matter what our assignments might be. I shall miss her always and remember with gratitude and love everything she gave so generously of herself ... Farewell, dear Friend, dear Sister in Christ, May Angels lead you into Paradise and May Your Memory Last Forever.

She was my parent partner in rearing my son. She helped make all major decisions in his life. I will miss her and I am grateful God placed her in our lives. I will always love her. Without a shadow of a doubt, she is in heaven and we will see her again.

Anne E. Schneiders (GAL) blessed me with the adoption of a beautiful daughter (Dominique J. Davis) who turned 24 years old, on Anne's Funneral of October 25, 2017. Anne taught me through her undying love, dedication and commitment to foster children, to NEVER GIVE UP ON OUR FOSTER CHILDREN... A dear friend whom I will miss greatly!

I will miss Ms. Schneiders who was a great woman and the BEST GAL (Guardian ad Litem) any foster child could be blessed with. Anne was my GAL since the age of 4 and if it wasn't for Ms. Schneiders, I would have never found the BEST Foster Mom who adopted me in November 2009 at the age of 17. Ms. Schneiders would not let anyone take advantage and fought long and hard for me in the courts. I will truly miss Ms. Schneiders, may she rest in peace...

We shall miss the spirit and wisdom of our dear Anne Schneiders. I first met her nearly 30 years ago when we became neighbors at 2828 Wisconsin Avenue. She was always a friend and a person to go to for help if such an occasion arose. My entire family shares my sorrow at her passing.

I am a judge on the D.C. Superior Court, a division of which is the Family Court. That's where I got to know Anne many years ago when that's where I was serving. Anne served as a guardian ad litem for children alleged to have been or found to have been neglected and abused. She was appointed to represent their interests --- and she did so relentlessly, fiercely, and lovingly. Whenever I had the most difficult cases, Anne was the person on whom I called, and she never said no. Having been assigned to other divisions of the court in recent years, I lost touch with Anne. But I was so sad to learn we have lost her, and I will always remember her fondly and with the deepest respect.

It was always wonderful to see Anne participating in the various liturgies at Holy Trinity. She was especially welcoming and encouraging to those in RCIA as they made their faith journey. Shall miss her joyful spirit.

God bless Anne as He taked her to eternal glory. Met Anne as a child in Ireland and celebrated marriages, births and other family events together over the years. Ever encouraging loyal child advocate, she made a mark on many young lives. Ar dheis DÃ© go raibh a anam.

Friendship was everything to Anne. Once her friend, you could always count on her. Sharp as a whistle, with a huge compassionate-- but not overly 'softie' -- heart, she was refreshing in the directness of her speech, in the wisdom of her counsel, and in her zest for her many causes and for life itself. She always used to say: "when you call me, always leave your number so that I can call you right back without having to look it up." Rest in peace, dear Anne. I thank you. Tsioms.

The example of this woman of faith and uncompromising defender of children and marginalized others lives on. May we think of Anne whenever we meet child in need and be moved to charity and compassion, acting for Anne and continuing her legacy and charism of the Daughters of Charity.

11:30 Mass wonâ€™t be the same without Anne. Such a sweet woman who truly lived her faith. Henry will have a special angel watching from above as he grows up. We loved Anne and send her family our deepest condolences.
