

Carmen was born in Lima, Peru. There she met Nicolas E. Cueva, they moved to the United States married, had two children and resided in Baltimore, Maryland. At an early age, Carmen became a widow, her life changed drastically and she dedicated her life raising both of her children alone in Baltimore, Maryland.
She found solace working for St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fells Point, Baltimore where she spent 16 years as a housekeeper. Later she moved with her family to Montgomery County, Maryland. She spent her last years there with her daughter in Germantown, Maryland.
Carmen is survived by her two children, Nicholas E. Cueva and Elizabeth Y. Cueva as well as her adored grandchildren Isabella, Nicolas and Gabriela Cueva and loving daughter in law, Kimberly M. Cueva (Thompson).
Viewing will be held at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877 on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 2p.m. to 4p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 201 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877 on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11a.m. Interment will be follow at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Road, Germantown, Maryland.
