The beloved son of Dr. Jack L. and Debra J. Price (née Bussell), born in Denton, Texas on October 22, 1982.
Daniel was a graduate of Zadok Magruder High School in Derwood, Maryland, Class of 2000. He earned an Associate of Arts Degree in International Studies from Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, in January 2004. Additionally, he completed a Certificate of Completion for Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy from Montgomery College, Silver Spring, Maryland, in August 2013.
He had a gift for languages and quickly understood conversations of other languages. Once when his father came home from work, Dan was listening to a CD playing on the home stereo system, and he asked his father if he understood the song. After replying "No, but it seemed to have traces of German and Latin expressions." Dan replied that it was a Flemish folk song, and he then proceeded to recite the lyrics and their meaning. When asked how he understood them, he replied, "It's easy. You just have to listen to them."
He was an avid reader of fiction (Sci-Fi, mystery) and non-fiction principally politics and history (ancient, Asian, European, and American), spending hours engrossed in various books at one time. Listening to podcasts on current events, even to foregoing sleep so as to keep researching some points.
He was devoted to his family and regularly engaged them in conversations and debates about current events. He was always quick to help the family, especially as his parents experienced some health challenges. He would walk for hours and regularly took the little Shih-Tzu, Lacey on strolls around the neighborhood and local park. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and if you looked closely, you could see the impish glint in his eye and the wry smile on his face when he was saying something completely outrageous - and funny.
Daniel is survived by his brother, Jared M. Price, of Derwood, MD, by his great-uncle, William Bussell of Round Rock, TX, and aunts Jackie Bussell and Marci Schroeder, along with her daughter Erica, of Lawrence, KS. His uncle James E. Bussell, along with his wife Merlinda, daughter Janet, and son Michael, reside in Great Mills, MD. His aunt, Patricia E. "Teasa" Garcia, and her husband Walter R. Garcia of Pittsburgh, PA, and Goode, VA, are also among his surviving family members. Their sons, Callan Garcia and family of Miami, FL, Timothy E. Garcia and family of Denver, CO, Andrew J. Garcia and family of Asheville, NC, and Dr. Garrett Garcia of Pittsburgh, PA, are also left to cherish his memory.
