In loving memory of our dear Du Thach, who passed away peacefully on April 13th, 2024 at Asbury Village. Born on December 31st, 1940 in his home country of Vietnam. He embarked on an incredible journey when he immigrated with his family to the United States during the early 1990s, first landing in the Philippines then soon in Maryland where his loving wife still resides till this day. A dedicated Vietnam War veteran, he remained devoted to his homeland throughout his life.
To his family, he was not just a beloved brother, father, and grandfather but also a skilled individual with a wide range of hobbies and talents. Fondly called a “jack of all trades,” Mr. Thach’s life was enriched by his love for music, especially his favorite song “Hotel California,” which he would play on his guitar. The home was often filled with melodies played as he thoroughly enjoyed karaoke.
Known for his vibrant personality, and large infectious smile. Mr. Thach was a jokester, he loved to crack jokes and bring laughter into the room touching the lives of everyone around him. Those who knew him were captivated by his humor, generosity and zest for life.
As we say goodbye to this exceptional soul, we hold dear the memories he leaves behind. Though he may have departed from our midst, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. May his legacy of love and joy endure for generations to come. Rest peacefully, our dearly beloved father, grandfather & friend.
