Mrs. Chiswell was a retired Montgomery County School music teacher. She was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church and a charter member of Mill Creek Town Garden Club.
Mrs. Chiswell is predeceased by her late Husband William Lawrence Chiswell who passed in 2006. She is survived by her three children, Robert Chiswell and wife Lynne, Carroll Sherman and husband Frank, and Steven Chiswell and wife Michele. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Kelly Hass and husband Michael, Jenifer McGlone and husband Ryan, Ashley Allen and husband Brian, Holly Chiswell and husband Brett Bell, Mark Sherman, Chase Chiswell, and Cara Chiswell; and nine great-grandchildren; Ryan McGlone, Jr., Hannah Hass, Julia Hass, Chloe McGlone, Archie Allen, Emma Hass, Margot Hass, Henry Allen and Dorothy Allen.
A visitation will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 119 N. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, MD on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund.
