Dear Joan, Susie, Bob, and James,
Please forgive my tardiness in sending my condolences to you, but just recently heard of Fred's passing. I thought of Fred often, and the memories of out time together through many years of my life remain. From my first contact with Fred by visiting the Zephyr Lounge, then  building his custom dune buggy, working at the Rabbit's Foot, trips to Ocean City, and just plain hanging around after hours at the Rabbits Foot playing ping pong with other workers 'till the wee hours,  and working at the "Vette Set", still bring a smile to my face. Joan, I also remember you taking my new Jaguar XKE in for its first thousand-mile checkup, (at Fred's insistance), and how nervous you were having to drive it... thanks again for the favor!! I am only sorry that I did not keep in closer touch with Fred, as he played a very important part in my life for many years.  I shall miss him greatly, and the memories I have of Fred and your family will remain with me always. He was a giving, compassionate, and friendly man, and I pray that he rests peacefully in Gods hands.

Joe Ratti  Fred was my first boss in the restaurant business and inspired me to get into the business. Working at the Rabbit's Foot  as a waiter and then manager was something I will never forget because of good times we had. Fred was always  fair and a teacher not a boss.   He was  a good man and friend It is a sad day to hear about this and I wish the family all the best in this terrible time.

To the Norris family our deepest condolences. You all know how much Fred was loved through out our community and across our vast country. He was my 1st boss in the restaurant business and supported me and many other aspiring restauranteurs when we opened something on our own. I really enjoyed getting together with Fred through out the years in the many reunions, celebrations of life or just running into him at local restaurant or at Layhill Golf Course.
