J. Edward Lyerly, Jr. of Mt. Airy, MD, died on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Baltimore, MD. He was the beloved husband of 43 years Carol A. Lyerly; loving father of Christopher Edward Lyerly, Mt. Airy, MD and Shawn Michael Lyerly and his wife Nicole, New Market, MD; grandfather of Ava Grace, Lydia Ann and Isaac Michael Lyerly; brother of Barry F. and his wife Fay, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jeffrey A. and his wife Joan, Lovettsville, VA, John M, and his wife Mary Ann, Herndon, VA and the late Richard H.; brother-in-law of Marsha Lyerly. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive him.
Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 E. Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Thursday, April 7th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where his funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m.
