Joan Debra Voith

Recently retired as office manager for a Rockville pediatric ophthalmologist, Joan was a lifetime animal lover and enjoyed time with her puppy Marcus, who was by her side in her final moments, her cat Buffy, and her companion Carolyn Lee Glusing. She’s preceded in death by her husband and friend Thomas P. Voith, Jr., parents Samuel and Rhoda (Grabkowitz/Gray) Snider, sister-in-law Rosette (Sullam) Snider, and nephew Scott Snider.

Survived by her daughters: Stacy (Steve) Foster of Johnstown, PA, Laura (David) Paternoster of Mandeville, LA, and Alyssa (Craig) Stark of Oxford, CT, as well as her grandchildren: Logan, Collin, Kathryn, Kaia, Shannyn, Luca, Nathan, Lucy, Erynn, and Vera, and great grandchildren Ari and Jackson, and by her brother, Barry (Linda) Snider of Boca Raton, FL, and by nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

Calling hours at DeVol Funeral Home in Gaithersburg, MD will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Private burial to occur at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal rescue group.
