On January 5, 2019, at the age of 80, of Gaithersburg, MD . Husband of Lynne Rychlec, proud father of Alexis Gerard and son in law Jerry Gerard, beloved “Popeye Joe” the grandchildren Katie, Emily, and Peter Gerard, brother of the late Betty Ressa, brother in law of Frank Ressa and Darryl Christoffelsz, and loving uncle of Adrianne Ressa. A funeral mass will be held at Sr. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 11701 Clopper Rd., Gaithersburg, MD 20878 on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 12:30 PM.
