Kathleen Donohue McCoy

Kathleen Donohue McCoy passed away peacefully on the morning of September 13, 2021. She was born in the Bronx, New York on September 1, 1939 to Timothy and Kathleen Donohue. Kathleen was the loving wife of John J. McCoy for 59 years and the mother to three children - John T. McCoy (Therese), Kathleen Kearney (Ross) and Andrew McCoy (Nona).

She was adored by her 10 grandchildren - Michael, Aaron, Patrick, Annie, Emma, Brendan, Claire, Jack, Honora and John and her two great grandchildren -Wesley and Monroe.

Kathleen loved to travel the world, which she and her husband did extensively throughout their lives. She equally enjoyed spending most of her summer days at Bethany Beach, Delaware, first with her children and then with her grandchildren. She was a talented sketch artist, loved to read and enjoyed serving her grandchildren ice cream sundaes for breakfast. She loved people and parties and making sure everyone felt at ease.

Family and friends may pay their respects at The Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, 1725 Rhode Island Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20036 on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 9:00AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM
