

Diane graduated from Scecina High School in 1960.
She married her high school sweetheart, John Michael McDavitt, in 1961 and later settled in Louisville, KY
Diane is survived by her two children, Michael David McDavitt, Washington, DC and Elizabeth Centenari, (husband Paul) Washington, DC. And her two grandchildren, Madison and Isabella Centenari, Washington, DC.
Her parents, Charles and Sally Schilling, as well as her two brothers, Charles and David Schilling are deceased.
Diane was a dynamic business woman, having owned and run many businesses throughout her career.
Affectionately known by her industry piers as “Lady Di”, Diane McFarland was the matriarch of MdM who served as Chief Executive Officer for MdM Artists Group. For over 40 years, Ms. McFarland had dedicated her life to the fashion, entertainment and talent industries.
Over time, she made her indelible marks as a successful model; business entrepreneur; corporate imager; and life coach and mentor to thousands of people of all ages and walks of life.
Professional highlights and achievements include:
• Founder and Chief Executive Officer of McFarland Entertainment in Denver and Colorado Springs, with a board-certified Training Center for models and actors; and a full-service agency representing over 3,000 talent.
• Credited for discovering Hollywood A-listers, Kerri Russell and Jessica Biel and putting them on paths to success.
• Honored by Mirabella Magazine as one of their “1,000 Most Influential Women in America.”
• Advisor to the White House on teen esteem issues and working with the legendary Dr. Dorothy Height.
• President and Board Member of ARB Productions, Inc., a television and film production house in Washington, DC, and a sister alliance of MdM.
We will miss you mom & Nonna forever.
A private graveside service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD to be announced in early spring.
