Our hearts are empty but unbearably heavy with the passing of Olivia on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 after many years of struggling with cancer. Olivia will forever be in the memories and hearts of the many whom she loved and loved her …family, extended family, her many friends and co-workers, and countless students she nurtured over the years.
Olivia moved from the Philippines to Gaithersburg, Maryland with her immediate family in 1985. There, she continued her education while working, eventually entering the retail banking industry. In 2001, she left her job as head teller at Citizens National Bank in Laurel to begin her family. Olivia eventually returned to work as a teacher’s assistant with pre-K and elementary school children, first at Forcey Christian School and most recently at Norbeck Montessori. She always displayed a hard work ethic, and developed close bonds with the students and faculty.
Olivia was incredibly funny, and a practical joker. She first and foremost loved her children and grandson. She loved to decorate the home, baking, hiking in the woods with her dogs, traveling, dining out, and spending time with her immediate and extended family.
Olivia’s legacy and memory will be treasured by her daughters Josephine and Jessica, her husband Robert, her grandson Dante, as well as her brother Dante and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
