Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, Pat met the love of her life, Roger W. Gagne, and the two married in 1967. Together, they had two sons, Daniel Everett and Roger “Chip” Gagne.
The daughter of Ruth Ann and Edward J. Shaughnessy, Pat was a lady of many talents. Throughout her professional career, she was a secretary, a swim instructor, and a bowling coach. In addition, Pat co-wrote and published five fantasy novels with her son Chip under their real names. Pat was also a true animal lover with a passion for cats. For many years, she was a counselor and a cat foster for the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County.
Pat is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Barbara Hein. She is survived by her husband, Roger, her sons Chip and Dan, as well as her six brothers, Ed, Mike, Tom, Charlie, Bob, and Rick, and their families. She is loved by many.
