Died peacefully on December 14th as members of her Community of Little Sisters of the Poor prayer at her bedside. Sister was born in Glasgow, Scotland and made her Novitiate in Dublin where she made Profession on November 25, 1964. She made Perpetual Vows in the Mother House of La Tour St. Joseph on October 11, 1970. She came to the United States in 1985, became a citizen and served in a number of Homes around the country. She came to live in Washington in 2021.
From a family of six, she is pre-deceased by her brother Jim and sister, Christine. She is survived be her twin Tony (Bro. Alan, Marist) and sister, Mary who both live in Scotland and Sr. Majella who is also a Little Sister of the Poor and lives in the Washington Community.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 20 from 4 pm until 7 pm, with Rosary at 4:30 pm.Mass of Christian burial will be offered in the Little Sisters of the Poor chapel, 4200 Harewood Rd., N.E. Washington, DC on Thursday, December 21 at 11 AM, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
