Steven A. Graham, 82, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. A beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he will be remembered for his steadfast character, generous spirit, and the deep devotion he held for his family.
Born on January 18, 1944, in Mount Vernon, New York, Mr. Graham honorably served five years in the United States Air Force. Upon completing his military service, he made Montgomery County, Maryland, his permanent home and remained a devoted member of the community for many decades.
Steven lived a life defined by service, generosity, humor and quiet strength. He cherished time with his family and friends; he found joy in family cook outs, music, travel, and many peaceful hours on the golf course. Those who joined him on the golf course often remarked on his thoughtful approach to each round and his willingness to offer guidance to others. He was known to recount particularly memorable missteps on the course with a gentle smile ,stories that became cherished parts of time spent with him.
His commitment to service extended well beyond his military years. As a universal blood donor, Mr. Graham achieved multi-gallon donor status, contributing to the well-being of countless individuals. His family fondly recalls that donation days were a quiet point of pride for him, something he viewed simply as a responsibility to others, undertaken without any desire for recognition.
Family life held deep meaning for Mr. Graham. During holidays and gatherings, he could often be found in the kitchen sharing stories and bringing warmth and humor to those around him. He took great pleasure in simple acts of kindness, offering words of encouragement or a thoughtful insight at just the right moment. These gestures, though modest, became treasured memories for all who were fortunate to receive them.
Mr. Graham was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Graham. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey A. Graham of Florida, Jodi A. Graham Brown of Maryland, and Dawn M. Graham of Maryland; his grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley, and Matthew; and his great-grandchildren, Griffin and Phoenix.
Over the course of more than eight decades, Mr. Graham’s life reflected loyalty, love, and an unwavering dedication to the people and pursuits he valued most. As family and friends gather in remembrance, they do so with profound love and gratitude for the stories shared, the guidance he offered, and the steady, reassuring presence he brought to their lives. His absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy endures in the many lives he touched and, in the memories, carried forward by all who knew and loved him.
