

Timothy was born on December 9, 1964 in Maryland to the late Freemont V. Swain and Nancy A. Swain. Timothy was preceded in death by two sisters, Robin Swain and Teresa Swain. He is survived by his wife, Kirsten Swain, daughters Rachel Swain and Emma Swain, brother David Swain (Julie), and nieces Marissa Swain St. Pierre (Josh) and Sydnie Swain.
Timothy dedicated much of his life to his work and passions. As the sole proprietor of THS Home Improvement Company for 30 years, he demonstrated exceptional skill and commitment in the field. Upon relocating to Virginia, Timothy joined Yorktown Naval Weapons Station, where he served with distinction as Supervisor of Public Works until his passing.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Timothy found great joy in a variety of hobbies. He was an avid woodworker, whose craftsmanship brought beauty and utility to many projects. Timothy also enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, and fishing, finding solace and excitement in the outdoors. His green thumb was evident in his gardening pursuits, and he took pride in raising chickens and turkeys.
Timothy's true legacy, however, lies in his role as a devoted family man and friend. He cherished his relationships and leaves behind a loving family who will forever remember his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. His memory will also be cherished by a wide circle of friends and colleagues whose lives he touched with his generosity and warmth.
The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home located at 3098 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes, VA, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A celebration of life service will be held at DeVol Funeral Home located at 10 E. Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877, on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11 am. The inurnment will be private.
