To Nang Nguyen

To Nang Nguyen, of Germantown, MD, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 17th, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife My Nguyen, and his son Jimmy Nguyen. After months of battling liver cancer, To chose to spend his remaining time in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

After escaping the oppressions of the Vietnam War, To started a new life here in America, and was a resident of Maryland since 1980. He met his wife back in Vietnam and brought her over to America in 1995, where four years later they gave birth to their first and only child Jimmy Nguyen (September 18, 1999).

To worked at Montgomery College for 36 years as a mail carrier, retiring in 2020. He never missed a day of work, doing everything in his power to provide for his wife and son, making sure they lived a good life. When his wife My was ill for many years, To went above and beyond to take care of her and nurse her back to good health. He was always there for others, helping them out anyway he could. His humble and gentle soul will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Viewing will be held at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877, on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, from 2pm-4pm.Funeral mass service will be held at Mother Seton Parish, 19951 Father Hurley Blvd, Germantown, MD 20874, on Monday, January 23rd, 2023, at 11am.
