

Mr. Andrew Jennings, 93, of Savannah, GA. Passed away January 19, 2012. He was a native of Brooklyn, NY and lived there from 1950 until he moved here seven years ago to be with his son, Andrew, and his wife, Lorraine. He was in the Army and served during World War II. He was also a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church and a Deacon as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. St. Pierre and Emma Jennings; a son, Aunzie Jennings as well as his late wife Laura.
He is survived by his first wife, Julia Bell Thompson and their children; Andrew Jennings Jr. and Mae Francis Jamillah Ausby. He is also survived by one brother, Amos Jennings of Brooklyn; two sisters, Rebecca Gabriel of Brooklyn and Emma Pearl of Tampa, FL. He has eight grand children and six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Home going services will be held at Salem Missionary Baptist Church at 305 East 21st Street, Brooklyn, New York 11226, Monday, January 30, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. with burial at Long Island National Cemetery.
