Mr. Ben Larry Lanier Sr.

Larry was born in Jenkins County, July 31, 1938 to the late Ben & Alexa Lanier. He passed away suddenly July 13, 2011, in Effingham Co.

Larry farmed most of his life and moved to Eden, GA. where he drove a truck that was leased out to BP Express. Larry is survived by his wife of 25 years, Frances Lanier and between them they had six children. Benjy Lanier (Diane), Bryan Lanier (Trish), Michelle Parker (Kim), Jason Taylor (Mary Liz), Lee Scott and Anna Devoe (Greg) and a sister, Grace Bacon (Raymond). Grandfather of twelve and affectionately known as “Big Daddy”.

Larry was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where he was a communion minister and recently became a 1st Degree Knight of Columbus.

Visitation: Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil Service at the Fairhaven Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass: Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes in Port Wentworth, GA.

Officiating: Fr. Douglas K. Clark

Interment: Bulloch Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Statesboro
