

Edna Oliver Sikes, 80, of Garden City, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Collins, Ga., and was a Graduate of Collins High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Oliver and Lorena Sharpe Oliver, She had formerly worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company, as a switchboard operator, and then she opened Edna and Jackie's Sports Wear in Garden City, Ga. She was a member of the Trinity Church of God. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Taft Sikes of Garden City, GA; a son, William K. Sikes (Jana K. Sikes) of Forsyth, GA; 2 grandchildren, Brandi Adkins (Nicholas) of Stilson, GA; and William Shane Sikes of Corpus Christy, Texas; and 4 great grandchildren, a sister, Patsy Powers of Richmond Hill, Ga., and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory in Garden City, Ga. Funeral Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home in Garden City, Ga., with Rev.
