

Herman Emmett Johnson, SR, 76, of Pooler, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsworth J. and Lottie Mae Morris Johnson; a brother, Jim Johnson; two sisters, Luree Johnson and Geraldine Roberts.
Herman was born and raised in Sylvania, GA and attended local schools. He was in maintenance
most of his life until he had to retire because of his health. Herman was an avid outdoorsman and was a collector of unique artifacts. He was a member of Westside Christian Church.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Herman will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Questie Johnson, of Pooler; three sons Emmett Johnson, JR, of Pooler, Wayne Johnson (Debby) of Stilson, GA, Rex Johnson, of Ellabell, GA; two brothers. Loy Johnson of Savannah, GA, Melvin Johnson (Mertice) of Savannah, GA; four sisters, Emmagene Stanley of Rincon, Jeanette Duncan (Arthur) of Savannah, GA, Patricia (P.J.) of Midway, GA, Linda Burke (Jackie) of Garden City, GA; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a prayer buddy, Rev. Otis Hill; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 5:00p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at Westside Christian Church in Bloomingdale, GA. with Rev. Leonard Daugherty and Rev. Otis Hill officiating.
Burial will be private.
